I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Pam Kohlmeier. During our discussion, she shared her history of pursuing social justice through many avenues: physician, attorney, advocate. Her values and credentials are sound, but that is not enough to be an effective politician or even a candidate. What impressed me most was her clear thinking, excellent organizational skills, and ability to see the big picture. Being able to clearly see opportunities for support as well as setbacks gives a person a superior edge when navigating the complexities of politics, making them a far more effective force for advancing the needs of the people they serve. And Dr. Kohlmeier seems unequivocally to understand the difference between being a public servant and a politician. She is without a doubt the former. Thank you for running. — Doug White
I am so honored to call Dr. Pam Kohlmeier a supporter for suicide prevention but also my friend. I met Pam when she was looking for ways to help promote suicide prevention a few years ago. When I visited with Pam and informed her how Prevent Suicide Spokane Coalition serves our community, she jumped in feet first. Right away she helped us write our our bylaws. Pam didn't stop there, she wanted to give more of her time in saving lives from suicide. Which is why she became a board member of NAMI. I admire Pam so much as she is a real person who wants to make our community better for all. Pam's passion is real and we should be thankful she has decided to step it up into politics. Why? Because she cares about all of us and that is real. We are so lucky to have her as a choice because Pam is no joke. She is a real non-bias person that wants to serve everyone to help improve our community for all. — Melody Youker

Go Mom! — Jocelyn Thew
My mom is an amazing human. She has worked hard to achieve many successes and leave a significant impact, and she has also faced and continues to overcome serious difficulties on her journey. She is humble, so I will share a small sample of her impressive accomplishments. She competed as a Division 1 athlete, she saved and improved the lives of many children in the ER, she has influenced public health policy at the Washington state level, she elevated the next generation by serving on and leading the school board for several years, she raised four awesome (not biased) children, and she has cultivated a rich network of friendships across the Inland Northwest. She is motivated to make the world and her community a better place, and her sense of purpose is inspiring. I love you Mom - you got this! — Michael Thew
